Searching for the “Subtract Tour” in 2026? That tour finished in 2023. Ed Sheeran’s current tour is the LOOP Tour, and it has 16 concerts left: nine in the US between Sept 25 and Nov 7, then seven in Latin America ending with the Dec 11 finale in Mexico City. Here is how the tours connect, what the show is like, and how to buy well while prices are low.

From Subtract to Mathematics to LOOP

Ed spent more than a decade releasing albums named after maths symbols: + (2011), × (2014), ÷ (2017), = (2021) and finally − (Subtract), released May 5, 2023. Two tours ran across that last stretch, which is why the names get mixed up.

The Mathematics Tour (+−=÷×) was the giant one. It covered all five symbol albums, played in the round in stadiums from April 2022 and closed in Düsseldorf on Sept 7, 2025 after 188 shows and about $875.7 million in ticket sales. More on the Mathematics Tour.

The Subtract (−) Tour was a much smaller side project in 2023: 29 intimate arena and theatre shows from March to September, where Ed played the − album in full with a band. It opened at Manchester’s AO Arena and ended at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The Subtract Tour, explained.

The LOOP Tour is what’s on sale now. It supports Play, released Sept 12, 2025, the start of a new era for Ed. After a short arena warm-up in Europe in December 2025, the tour opened in Auckland on Jan 16, 2026, sold out 17 shows across Australia and New Zealand, played Latin America in May, and has been in North American stadiums since June 13. What a LOOP Tour show is like

This is Ed stripped back. For most of the night it’s just him, an acoustic guitar and a loop station, building songs layer by layer in front of a stadium. The main stage sits in the middle of the floor and rotates, so every side of the bowl gets a turn facing him, and a small circular B-stage out in the crowd is used for the quieter songs and the fan-request slot. There is less visual spectacle than on the Mathematics Tour; the pull is the songs and how he builds them live.

Expect about two hours and roughly 28 songs. A typical set opens with “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You”, “Sapphire”, “Castle on the Hill” and “The A Team”, moves through “Photograph”, “Thinking Out Loud” and “Perfect”, and closes with an encore of “Shape of You”, “Azizam” and “Bad Habits”. In the fan-request slot, people text in suggestions: “Lego House”, “Tenerife Sea” and “Supermarket Flowers” have all come up. Sets vary night to night. One practical note: opening acts for the remaining US dates changed in September 2026 and none had been confirmed as of Sept 23. Check your ticket or app for timings. Opening acts.

How to buy smart right now

This is an unusual moment for a stadium tour: US demand is soft. Rolling Stone and Yahoo reported thousands of unsold seats in September 2026, with the cheapest resale tickets around $56–$65 including fees. For comparison, face-value tiers seen at the US on-sale were $39.50, $69.50, $89.50 and $119.50. So the cheapest resale seats now sit close to the lower face-value tiers.

• Check the primary seller first. Ticketmaster sells most US dates; Arlington (AT&T Stadium) is on SeatGeek. Unsold face-value seats may still be there.
• Then compare resale. Our “Tickets” buttons go to TicketNetwork, a resale marketplace. Prices move daily and can be above or below face value, so compare the all-in price with fees.
• Mind the rules. US tickets are mobile only, with a 6-ticket limit per show, and primary sales are final.
• Think about the room. Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL holds about 7,000 people, the smallest venue on the tour, from $185 face value. The stadium upper tiers are the budget route. Best seats on a rotating stage.

For the Latin American shows, buy only from the official seller: Ticketmaster Chile (Santiago), Ticketea (Asunción), Livepass (Buenos Aires), Eventim Brasil (São Paulo) and Funticket (Mexico City, where tickets are nominative and you need ID at the door). What about 2027?

As of Sept 23, 2026, nothing is announced for 2027 - no dates on edsheeran.com, Ticketmaster or Songkick. Many fans expect a UK and European stadium leg, because the LOOP Tour skipped stadiums there and Ed’s past tours have usually ended with a big run at home. That is speculation, not a plan. Social posts claiming a “confirmed” 2027 European tour are not from official accounts.

On past UK tours, tickets were mobile only and tied to the buyer’s ID, and resale was only allowed through the official face-value exchange.
