Mexico City is the last concert of the whole LOOP Tour, which opened in Auckland on Jan 16, 2026. It follows São Paulo (Dec 5–6) and closes out a year that took in Oceania, two Latin American legs and a long North American run. What happened to the Dec 12 Mexico City show?
Mexico City was originally booked for two nights, Dec 11 and 12. On Sept 7, 2026, the Dec 12 concert was cancelled: it clashed with the celebrations for the Virgin of Guadalupe, whose feast day is Dec 12 and which brings large crowds and road closures to the city. Dec 12 ticket holders were moved to the Dec 11 show, so the Friday is now the single, final night of the tour. How do I get to Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes?
The stadium sits next to the Plaza México bullring in the Benito Juárez borough, south of the city centre. It is a fairly central, built-up area, so public transport (Metro, Metrobús and buses) is usually a better bet than driving; check a route planner for the nearest stops from your hotel. Expect heavy traffic on a Friday night in December, and plan your route home before the encore.
What will the final show be like?
The LOOP Tour is Ed on his own: acoustic guitar, loop pedal and a rotating stage in the middle of the stadium floor, plus a small circular B-stage out in the crowd. It runs about two hours and around 28 songs, with less visual spectacle than the Mathematics Tour and more of the one-man-band looping he built his name on. A typical night opens with You Need Me, I Don’t Need You, Sapphire and Castle on the Hill, has a fan-request slot on the B-stage (fans text in suggestions), and closes with an encore of Shape of You, Azizam and Bad Habits.
