What makes the LOOP Tour good?

The core of the show is something few stadium acts attempt: one person building every song live. Ed layers guitar, percussive slaps and harmonies on his loop pedal until the stadium sounds full. It is a genuine musical feat, and it gives each night a live, slightly risky edge that a backing track never has.

The setlist helps. A typical night runs about 28 songs, from “The A Team” and “Castle on the Hill” to “Thinking Out Loud”, “Perfect”, “Bad Habits” and “Shape of You”. The B-stage fan-request slot means you might get a deep cut like “Lego House” or “Give Me Love”, and the rotating centre stage means no part of the stadium is stuck staring at his back all night.

What are the downsides?

Be honest with yourself about what you enjoy at concerts. The LOOP Tour has less visual spectacle than the Mathematics Tour. There is no big band and no elaborate production; if you sit high up, Ed is a small figure on a revolving stage and the screens do the heavy lifting.

There is also the opening-act question. Opening acts for the remaining US dates changed in September 2026 and none had been confirmed as of Sept 23 - check your ticket/app for timings. If a support act was part of the appeal for you, factor that in.

Who will love the LOOP Tour?

• Long-time fans who first found Ed through the loop-pedal shows and want that format back.
• First-timers who know the hits: almost every big single is in the set.
• Families: the songs are well known and the show is relaxed rather than overwhelming.
• Musicians and music nerds: watching the loop pedal work up close is the draw.

Who might be disappointed?

• Fans hoping to relive the Subtract Tour, where Ed played − in full with a band. That tour ended in 2023.
• People who judge a stadium show by its production: fireworks, big screens, dancers.
• Anyone buying the cheapest upper-level seats expecting an intimate experience - for that, the Hard Rock Live nights are the better bet.

Is it good value in 2026?

In the US, right now, it is unusually good value. Face-value tiers seen at the on-sale for one show were $39.50, $69.50, $89.50 and $119.50. On the resale side, Rolling Stone reported in September 2026 that the cheapest seats were going for about $56–65 including fees, with thousands of stadium seats unsold. That is close to tour lows, and it means a stadium show by one of the biggest-selling touring artists of the decade can cost less than a night out.

Where should I sit to get the most out of it?

Because the main stage is in the middle of the floor and rotates, lower-bowl seats along the sides are often a sweet spot between price and view. Floor seats near the B-stage put you close for the request slot and the big medley. Our best seats guide goes section by section.

Should I wait for 2027 instead?

We would not. Nothing has been announced for 2027, and any UK/Europe stadium leg is speculation for now (see our 2027 tour page). The LOOP Tour ends on December 11, 2026 in Mexico City, and the last US show is Tampa on November 7.
