What is the LOOP Tour show like?

The LOOP Tour is built around one idea: one man and a loop pedal can fill a stadium. For most of the set it is just Ed, his guitar and the loop station. He records a strum, a slap on the guitar body, a harmony, and layers them in real time until the song is complete. If you have only heard the studio versions, watching songs like “Bloodstream” or “Shape of You” get built from nothing is the highlight.

What does the stage look like?

In stadiums, the main stage sits in the middle of the floor and rotates, so people on every side get face time; reviewers have compared it to U2’s 360 staging. A small circular B-stage sits out in the crowd, and Ed moves there for the fan-request slot and the big medley. If you are on the floor near it, you can be very close to him for a good chunk of the night.

How early should I arrive?

Aim to be at the venue around the time on your ticket. Stadium security lines, bag checks and finding your section can easily take 30 minutes or more on a busy night, and parking or rideshare pickup areas fill up fast. Floor ticket holders near the B-stage in particular will want time to settle in before Ed walks out. At the smaller Hard Rock Live room the walk-in is quicker, but the casino resort around it gets busy on show nights. Plan for a slower exit too - 65,000 people leave a stadium at once.

How do tickets and entry work?

US tickets are mobile only, held in the Ticketmaster app, or the SeatGeek app for Arlington. Download the app and log in before you leave home, so you are not fighting stadium Wi-Fi at the gate. What can I bring to an Ed Sheeran stadium show?

US stadiums generally run a clear-bag policy: small clear bags of a set size, plus a small clutch, with larger bags refused at the gate. The exact rules differ by venue, so check the stadium’s own bag policy before you go. Are the Hard Rock Live shows different?

They are the tour’s most intimate nights. Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida has about 7,000 seats, compared with 65,000-plus at the stadiums. Face value starts higher, but even the back of that room is closer than most stadium seats.
